Meet Bret

February 18th, 2009 Judy Chace Coastal Rhode Island Real Estate Meet Bret

Hello again everyone. I hope everyone is as enamored with the improving weather as we are. For the followers of our blog that are confused as to who Bret is, this week’s blog will clarify that. Bret is the wonderfully talented and devoted Marketing intern/photographer/smoke alarm technician. He is handsome, eloquent and humble. He is also our primary blogger. That’s right, I am Bret, Bret is me, I am Bret, WEEE!!! I am a freshly minted Alumnus of the University of Rhode Island. I majored in Communications Studies and minored in Film and English. Judy recruited me to help her out with the new website and the management of her online marketing campaigns.

First, a little disclosure. I am Judy’s beloved nephew. Part of the reason I became interested in the Real Estate field was my experience growing up around Judy. She always seemed to be enjoying what she was doing more than anyone else. Her career was almost her entire life. The other part was her family. She always made holidays and family gatherings that much more fun, adding her personality to the atmosphere and bringing great gifts. The best part of her presence was watching her interaction with my grandfather. Grandpa is the “greatest generation” type, cranky, crotchety, and all around wonderful. So naturally with Judy’s free wheeling attitude the two of them had some hilarious clashes.

Now, admittedly, I am a novice at best in the Real Estate field. This is a new world to me, but an extremely interesting one. There is so much work that goes into what from an outsider’s perspective seems so simple. This blog will chronicle my foray into the vast, confounding universe of real estate. It is a journey sure to be filled with both success and dismay. I want to thank Judy Chace first for giving this opportunity. I could not be learning from anyone better. I also want to thank her assistant Marisa Ferrisa and Maureen, the office manager for helping me learn the admministrative tasks involved with the business. Web Guy Mike Gertrudes for helping me with the website and other tech issues, and Claudia Philbrick and the rest of the crew at the South County Residential Properties Office.

Wish Me Luck,
Bret
